PathogenFocus earns Top 25 product recognition from Retrofit

PathogenFocus’ Air Disinfection Biosecurity units are included in retrofit’s Top 25 Products special. The 10th-annual Top 25 Products, which appeared in retrofit’s January-February 2023 issue, celebrates the products that received the most reader clicks from September-October 2021 through September-October 2022. During that time, retrofit’s staff posted approximately 700 products to the magazine’s website, so the Top 25 are standouts.

“We consider retrofit a source for our readers to find innovative solutions and products for their own retrofit projects,” says Publisher John Riester. “The Top 25 Products special in our January-February issue is a great resource to our readers, showcasing the products readers’ peers thought were most interesting within the pages of retrofit and on our website.”

PathogenFocus is based out of Henderson, NC. PathogenFocus products utilize Air Disinfection Biosecurity (ADB) technology, which can be used to drastically improve indoor air quality and mitigate harmful pathogens, including viruses, bacteria and mold spores. These ADB systems take advantage of the existing air circulation in the building and provide constant, safe and proactive disinfection in the air and on surfaces. PathogenFocus offers units that are integrated in the HVAC system, as well as standalone, portable units.

ADB units take ambient air and humidity and convert it to non-thermal or “cold” plasma inside the unit’s chamber. The treatment that is then emitted safely and continuously sanitizes ambient air and indoor surfaces. ADB technology can be used to drastically improve indoor air quality, which will help maintain the healthiest environment possible. Recently, the PathogenFocus 7000 received certification from CARB – the California Air Resources Board – for meeting the emissions limit for ozone.
